Anyone recommend a reasonable cheap multimeter?

Just for 12v car / basic 240v house stuff and continuity testing.

Ideally under 20 quid.

Or are they all pretty much the same these days so just pick a £10 one off Amazon with the most positive reviews?

Thanks

I paid £10 or so on eBay. It does the job.

I still can't find my other one

I'm sure the Amazon ones will be fine but also check out Screwfix and Toolstation.

"positive reviews" 😂

This was asked a few months back, there's some useful info here:

Cheap ones are generally fine. Get one with a nice thick rubber case so it doesn't get smashed in your toolbox.

A temperature probe is surprisingly useful too.

I've got a big expensive yellow one at home which would probably make me look profesional, but the one that's actually in my toolkit came from Maplins.

Just to echo what I said in the thread cougar has linked to, the Aneng AN8000 is a great budget meter. There's a few others with similar numbers if you want certain features. Had mine a while now and it performs well.
