A mate suggested ebay for some night lights, and said go for some that are 1000 lumen. Ebay is full of cheap 1000 lumen lights. Has anyone got experience of cheapo lights? I just want some for the next couple month for evenings before its light enough

No idea on lumens but two of them babies and you'll be able to ride pretty quickly offroad
lumens on the internet are as believable as internet dating profiles...
Beam pattern is probably more important. Plenty of threads in here about cheap lights and what people have, be looking for something somebody has already really to get an idea.

I've bought 2 sets from that seller and they've been fine and were delivered quickly. The 5000 lumen claim is a bit adventurous though hahaha
If you are going "cheap Chinese" avoid Lightmalls.
