I'm heading out to SE Asia in November until April next year, but I need to come back to the UK 8th - 22nd December. Anyone got ideas on the best flight websites to be looking at? Tried all the usual and the best I've come up with is £945 return, Jakarta to Aberdeen. That's pretty much double the amounts for the rest of the year: our Edinburgh -> Bangkok 5-month return was only about £480.

Once you start in to the couple of weeks before Christmas you are doubling your prices. Lots of people want to travel then - Americans the end of Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Can't suggest anything other than try to change times to earlier or later.
Yeah, the dates are the problem. I've then somehow got to get from X in SE Asia to Bali, but I guess I can worry about that when I'm there.
Found £745 Singapore to Heathrow return, which is the best yet.
