Anyone else getting this? I refresh the main list of topics on chat and it shows an old version. Anything from an hour to a day or so old. It's intermittent and been happening for at least three or four days.

A minor irritation but wondering if it's just me.

Me too on android. If I click on "Cha Forum" it can be 24hrs behind. If I bale out then click on "Chat" it tends to be more up to date. I can't find a refresh function. Yep, frustrating.

Just go into "Chat" rather than "Chat Forum", that seems to be working OK. But yeah, avoid "Overview", far too much cycling shite on there🤣

It’ll be because you’ve got the Fancy Editor on/off

Or

Because you are/are not using Chrome/Safari/Edge etc

Or

Because your device is/isn’t Apple/Android.

Whichever way it’s your fault/user error obviously 🙄

Why are you here Oceanskipper if you have so much dislike for the forum?

It’s not the forum I dislike it’s the way every bug is blamed on the way the user is accessing the content.

Which I’d understand if that were the case but it’s not, plus you whine how it’s wrong. If I had such issues I’d go elsewhere.

This has been happening for at least 5 days, im surprised its taken you this long to notice.

I think what Drac is saying @OceanSkipper. Is that all full members who have a problem with this forum constantly breaking down is not to complain about it, but to cancel their subscription and go elsewhere.

.

Bit of a Gerald Ratner approach if you ask me.

Easy Drac. There's a lot of pissed off users here at the moment, not only because of the forum glitches. I doubt the owners can afford to lose traffic.

I’d go with it’s more of a vocal dozen, if that, who like the sound of their own keyboard but each to their own.

Oh I see it’s like that is it. Happy to take my money but woe betide anyone who dares to challenge the mighty. Fair enough then. I’ll be requesting my account is deleted in the morning. Bloody typical of this place that is. “We are untouchable and if you don’t like it piss off”. Thanks a bunch.

I use EMTB forums

It's not such a place to get as involved in a thread as here, but it has a LOT of traffic. You get an ad at the top of the page when you first go on and one when you click on your first thread, that's easy to dismiss. Then that's it - as a non paid up member, it's a breeze. No glitches, no bad gateways, just, well - a normal functioning forum.

This place is unusable ime if you don't pay and when you do, it's still certainly got a LOT of foibles. Call it character 🤣

I won't be cancelling, throwing my toys out, or going elsewhere.

BUT, do not tell paid up users to piss off if they don't like it. It's a great place sometimes, it's annoying at others (for various reasons). If you can't take criticism, nay opinions from paying customers, maybe forum moderation isn't the right thing to be applying yourself to on a Saturday evening?

Well that escalated!  As I said in my OP it's a minor irritation, albeit not the only one.  My toys are remaining in the pram for the foreseeable.  Take a breath, be nice to each other 🙂

Constructive criticism is fine. Regularly moaning at every opportunity about the forum and moderation becomes tedious.
