Thinking on heading up on Monday for a couple of nights in the vain hope that a lot of people will be leaving on the same day.

Forecast is good so this is probably a "moon on a stick" question, but is there anywhere likely to be quiet?

Yeah I'd think so.

Which part if you stay out of the honey pots you'll be ok

Went to the Grizedale one Easter Bank Hol. First field was full but plenty of space in the second. Open fires allowed and 10 mins from Windermere - where every car park was full!

We walked through Coniston Hall site on Wednesday tea time and it was nearly empty. Most people had given up and gone after 24 hours of rain.
We biked through it today on our way back and its like a festival. Tents and vans crammed onto every available blade of grass.

Satterthwaite, as tinribkz said - there's some great singletrack in the woods just behind (east) to - drops almost into the farm yard.
The Bridges site near Keswick - part of Scotgate - will likely be quiet too.

Don’t know what it’s called but there’s one right next to Keswick Golf Club that looks pretty quiet

+1 for the Scotgate 'overflow' site.
Gillside in Glenridding ought to be OK too I'd have thought.

Camped at a really quiet one, NT owned IIRC, just on left before Torver coming in from Coniston.

Very basic, but v quiet.

If by quiet you mean not full of lairy families with 20k worth of camping gear and loud music then there's a few sites that I'd recommend. The campsite at Brotherswater Inn gives great options away from the real busy areas. The national trust campsite at Langdale is great too, I've been in August and it wasn't too bad at all.

Hoathwaite. Good call but you may need to book up via the National Trust website.

The Caravan Club's Park Coppice site at Coniston has a tent area, that will definitely be quiet. Easy access to the lake and the village and some nice pubs, fells for walking etc.
