...lost the plot or plotted a masterstroke?

Yaya Sanogo starts in the biggest game of Wengers' season having only played a game and a half so far, replacing Podolski and Giroud - both proven goalscorers at this level.

Madness or Genius?

When you know you're going to lose... does it really matter?

Aiming for a low scoring game, no goals for Bayern and if that means 0-0 thats fine

Ozil really shouldn't be on pens. Second time he has tried to caress the ball into the net. Fails every time.

Incidentally, the game is on Sky 1 as well as Sky Sports, for those with Sky 1 on freeview/basic Virgin.

Sometimes I really hate football.

Anyway, Peter Crouch's stunt double really should have done better stopping Robben.

As a city fan this is definitely more entertaining to me then last night.

Nothing wrong with Robben for once, never have liked him, must be the Chelsea connection.

My first thought was that Robben dived, cos that's what usually happens... Any way English teams going out at the quarter final heroically, must be gearing up for the summer

I have said it once, and I'll say it again.

You really don't want to be playing against the best team in the world with 10 men and your second choice keep and left back.

Quite a niche saying, but it's been used more than once.

Anyway. I'll take 0-1, now. 😛

A German team isn't really right without a Müller in there somewhere.

To be fair it's February, the month where arsenal traditionally go from being in with a shout of several trophies to also rans....

I wonder if he is on corners.

This time last year, Arsenal were 3-1 down, so it's an improvement of sorts.

Really missing Walcott and Ramsey. If only there was some kind of time period to get in some replacements.

Ah well.

Ramsey is a huge miss but we already have a Walcott replacement, but it seems Wenger has taken a bet to never ever ever start Podolski.

The fact Sanogo jumped over both NB52 (TGSTEL) and Podolski, must make it fairly obvious they will be leaving in the summer.

Strange set of parallels with last night's game. Except BM are infinitely more watchable than Barça with all their wacky backy stuff.

Thought arsenal had done a great job in the second chasing it down. Tough night.

Meh.

Was all in the toilet from the red card.

Would have been nice to go down 0-1, rather than 0-2. Rush of blood caused the latter, and Monreal really needs to have a word with himself.

Time to get drunk and watch House Of Cards.

In theory... they did better in the first leg than last year.. so you never know...

Anyway lets hope Robbie Savage offers to quit again if Arsenal or City go through & keep our fingers crossed...

I might be going against the grain, but I don't mind Robbie Savage. There is certainly a hell of a lot worse.

I'll forgive him a lot for his punditry during New Zealand's draw with Italy during the 2010 World Cup.

If only Claridge wold make the same offer, I'd drive to Barcelona and Munich and spike the home teams' pre night meal with ecoli myself.

Where does Claridge pundit?

EDIT - Just skipped through that Michael Owen video... a-mazing.. he really is a personality free zone. Is he that bad on BT Sport??

Also having watched that video, I'm not convinced Mr Owen went to Dubai to film that...

I can get my head around most things, even if sometimes it's a devil's advocate form of mental gymnastics, but Michael Owen getting work based on what comes out of his mouth just floors me.

You can say that again. I used to like Owen as a player but on BT he is dire!

The pool v afc game was riuined by him even more than the scoreline.
