Christ on a bike your all about the serious threads, which really doesn’t tie in with your username

If you've been through the PIP process with a person diagnosed with MS you might not be so dismissive.

I'm not forcing you to read. Make your own thread or something, I don't know? Go read the farting thread, it's rather good imo.👍

Judging sometime from 2 threads and by their username on here is probably not serving you well.

Well, that is about my intellect level. Wasn’t meaning to be dismissive poops.

I will watch Dispacthes over the weekend, can’t cope with anything too heavy hitting after this week, bit too burnt out for it.

Sorry mate, didnt mean to be a prickly sod.

I've started over 700 threads on here since '09 and many of them are farting grade posts. It's very much my intellect level too.

Sorry it's been a rough week, for what it's worth I totally relate and don't want to be party to making it worse for you.

No double meanings in that, genuinely hope you have a better weekend buddy.

Shocking. As you suggested, not an easy watch.

Going through it myself, and even though I'm better equipped and positioned than most people to handle the process, and more comfortable financially than most, it's still an absolute ****ing nightmare. If it'd been when I was in worse shape there's no way I could have handled it. And they do far worse, to people who're far worse than me. Always strikes me as weird that the individual people are generally perfectly nice but they're basically working in a banality of evil factory.

^^ Hope it works out for you mate.

The DWP are completely without compassion. They almost literally have blood on their hands as does Capita, ATOS (so toxic a name within the disabled community it had to change its name to IAS) etc.

The system is rigged against the claimant and I have helped 2 people win appeals at tribunal over the years. Almost all the "health professionals" doing the assessment are physios (no disrespect to the profession) and required to make judgements on amazingly complex physical and mental health issues. Most doctors and nurses want nothing to do with it, it's just toxic.

There is an excellent paid for forum if you need advice @Northwind, it's nothing to do with me, but it's proven a simply amazing resource time and time again. PM me if you want the info bud.

Good luck either way.

In my last interview with the atos *, i did get a little heated and accused them of being the modern equivalent of Dr Mengele.I'd also got up off the chair and decided to lie down on their couch and continue it from there.

Not sure they took it that well and they wanted to stop the interview early. I don't think they like it when people dont follow their set rules.

Funny - at the beginning he stuck out a hand for me to shake and I gave it a look probably similar to it being  a dogs covered stick 😆 😆 Start as you mean to go on 😆

Advice to anyone needing to undertake such an expedition - Take someone with you. Thats a witness, and it will go always towards them actually listening to whats being said. My first ever interview I was alone and they actually changed what I said to show there wasnt a problem anywhere. In effect they not only lied, but fabricated the facts.

I appealed to the DWP - denied, and then appealed to a tribunal. It went to the tribunal, which took under 2 minutes for them(A judge, a lawyer and a consultant psychologist) to rule in my favour and throw out the atos report as nonsense. After that I had someone from the NAS(National Autistic Society) in there with me, so they couldnt lie or fabricate what was actually being said.

After seeing what some of my colleagues have been though. I'll not be watching that. However I hope that it shines a light on it and quickly brings about changes.

I truly feel sorry for anyone that has to go through the process with them.

Please remember it's not the staffs fault. Working within that system has properly ****ed up some very good staff, which is why I jumped ship when I was "offered" a redeployment there.

Atos used to be in the in house occupational health and welfare service. They tried to screw over one of my staff who needed them, and her only option was to try and screw me over as the bad guy. Absolute ****s

Something like 70% of appeals against DWP PIP decisions are won which suggests there are systemic issues with the process and those implementing the process. This must be wasting billions in back payments, legal costs, and the salaries and overheads of all those people making the assessments and final decisions.

One of the worst things the Tories have ever done and that's saying something. Completely inhumane - I've no idea why it isn't more of a scandal. Well actually, I do...

I was about to say a friend boycotts Thornbridge Brewery because (I think) it's the spouse of the ATOS head responsible for coining it in from the system. It wasn't ATOS but A4e which ripped off the state related to disability payments

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Harrison_(entrepreneur)

My knowledge is very loose on it, but it doesn't look good

I think it's ATOS who are responsible for the scummy assessment process. No doubt others have had their snouts in the trough too.

iirc the assessments started in about 2005, I was working for Atos at the time and it was mainly an IT outsourcer, so it seamed a strange contract to get. But I think that the government had worked out that as well as servicing their corporate paymasters with corporate welfare they were able to distance themselves from the misery policy inflicted by associating it with the company contracted to carry it out.
