Another Q re London please. Have a meeting arranged but lack a venue. I struggle with noisy coffee shops so would ideally prefer a nice quiet hotel bar / lounge. I can cope with being bent over for the coffee prices but just need some space - any ideas please?
Champagne bar at St Pancras
St George's Cafe at Holborn.
Both 'coffee' places but considerably quieter than a central london starbucks
What sort of meeting, and what part of town?
FWIW, I've often used the Goring for quiet client meetings. Very discreet.
https://www.montcalmroyallondoncity.co.uk/?utm_source=googlelisting&utm_medium=organic - the roof terrace is nice and quiet normally
for free - Barbican has lots of places to loiter for hours - head toward the café area and choose a spot - many levels but you can get lost if you don't know it already
both close to Liverpool Street Station and tubes stops
CFH - business rather than anything 'clandestine'!!
The ability to be heard and not overly 'overheard' would be nice. The former because my hearing isn't great, the latter because its investment related and I don't want to be competing with Sandra and Derek shrieking about last night's best ever drink til they puked night out...
Browns in Shoreditch
As above, and remember to have lots of pound coins
There's a few places I used to go to with work over in Westminster Years ago. Not flash but not ideal location unless over that way: https://www.theabbeycentre.org.uk
British Library or Wellcome Collection, both on Euston Rd near Euston, St Pancrass and Kings X. Probably go for Wellcome Cafe

with a quieter cafe upstairs...
Hilton in Paddington is pretty good, Goring is lovely but they can be funny about laptops.
Hoxton Hotel - not the one in Hoxton but in Holborn is a bit full of hipsters still ok.
Lols at how’s your dad !

Thanks for suggestions, ended up at Royal Horseguards Hotel. Was OK although the £7 for an orange and lemonade made my eyes water...
