I can think of a few people I'd like to see do it
Yep. Bob Mortimer for starters. Then maybe Brian Blessed, Cathy Burke, Gary Lineker, Romesh Ranganathan. God there's loads! Actually a castle full of duplicitous, lying, immoral politicians fighting like rats in a sack would be highly entertaining! Mandelson, BoJo, Truss, Farage etc.
Somewhat bizarrely, they had a “royal” in the US version, Ivan Mountbatten. Maybe the next UK version could get Andrew Mountbatten? Bob Mortimer was mentioned I believe for this time around and I’d love to see how he approached it, whether he is just silly all the time….one of the previous UK series had a mother and son, that the other contestants weren’t aware of. That was quite a string dynamic when there was chats going on within the groups about who to banish. Not sure if that would be feasible for a schleb.
Perhaps someone like Michael Portillo could bring the intelligence and refinement such as Stephen Fry did this time.
Tony Bellew likes a reality show, I think he would be good telly.
I actually quite enjoyed the US version, but US shows work differently where they never seem to let the public on them, its always a mix of z listers who have been on the US version of big brother, survivor, are you the one, bachelor, the mole, the challenge, etc
As someone who has watched the last 14 series of the challenge, I was quite entertained by the US version, they were typically American and Alan Cummings did great IMO.
UK Celeb version, after Cat went, Alan played the only card he could and knocked it for 6, I do wonder if Joe has looped Nick in more would it have eased Nicks doubts, or is saying you are doing this to set up others more damning as considered traitor behaviour! But, what a final!
Bob Mortimer would be amazing, but for the fact he's always so good on "Would I Lie to You?" – I don't think anyone would ever know if he's telling the truth or lying in the slightest bit, no matter how absurd a claim he made – he'd just do his cheeky smile and get away with it.
Perhaps if they had both him *AND* Paul Whitehouse on...
😄 Brain the size of a planet and nice fella for sure, but David Olusoga came across as particularly clueless and naive in this game!
I'd quite like to see Guy Martin on there.
Someone at work suggested Stephen Mangan, and while I'm not a fan, I could see him being good.
For another big-brained person, Brian Cox?
Great actor.
Ask and you shall receive....

Suzi Dent and Victoria Coren Mitchell would be my picks off the top of my head.
Both v clever, and Victoria especially with her poker skills would be well versed in bluffing and reading tells.
I think they should go Victoria Coren Mitchell + David for a husband & wife team. Thinking along those lines Posh ‘n Becks would be a laugh.
I would also like to see Hugh Grant or Richard E Grant.
