Any tips how to stop them building webs over my outdoors CCTV camera lens?

Pretty much every other day i have to clean them off as its falsely triggering the CCTV at night so when i check in the morning ive got loads of recordings which makes it a pain to check if someone has been somewhere they shouldnt be

You can get Spider X designed to stop them or you could try a smear of vasaline round the outside, they dot like it.

Type of camera & positioning are key. Bullet cams with the little eyebrow over the lens not really great outdoors for this reason, dome/turret usually better. Obviously don’t position them under an alcove!

Cameras/systems that trigger on AI object detection also way better than motion-activated ones.

Those spiders look pretty scarily big when viewed on your app half asleep  at 3.30 am 😉

Just think of the poor spiders!  Not only have you put cameras in their home but you keep destroying their home!

Are there bird species that are fond of eating spiders? You could put up a nesting box sized to attract that species, next to each camera.
