Thought it may be Narrow Border Five Spot Burnet but not quite the same.

According to our tame entomologist:
"Not a butterfly, but a moth - Scarlet Tiger-moth, day-flying when adult.

Interesting to know where you saw it as it's a south of England species with a local presence in the NW.
Also foodplants in the area - likes Comfrey, bramble, Meadowsweet and also found on Sallow and Blackthorn."
