I watched the first episode, liked it, then got too busy to finish it. That's my plan for the weekend.

Trailers look absolutely brilliant! Looks like Mr Clooney has gone all out! My absolute favourtest book. Can't bloody wait for this!

Hmm I’ve watched 6 episodes and I’m not sure about it, I’m not sure really knows what it’s trying to be (the mix of stupid humour with “dark” humour and the brutality at the same time)
I haven’t read the book though, so I have no foundation to base judgment on except how it works as a viewer
Major Major Major was a low point for me

Its ages since i read it but.... You've basically nailed what the book is.

I struggled a few times with the book then one day it clicked.

Waterstones customers voted it the best book of the 20th century. They were right.

If you've not read it, you really should. It's the work of unbridled genius. To write about the insane futility of war and make that really, really funny is quite an achievement. Every character in it is just so brilliantly written.

Help him, help him!

Help who?

I'm the bombardier.
The sequel Closing Time isn't quite as good as Catch 22 but still worth a read.
