Has anyone used chick crumbs as a alternative to expensive cat litter?

If so which make do you use, some seem to come with added chemicals in?

Organic?

Price wise, it looks a cheaper option if you can find a local supplier.

I use lidl's cat litter as an alternative to expensive cat litter, maybe not as odour free or light, but darn sight cheaper.
With a new kitten & 2 older cats (used to be 3), cheapness is the name required by this game.

Ps: I have talked to them about using the garden, but apparently in door loo's are preferred.

Thanks Z1ppy, we are in the exact same situation, 1 new kitten and 2 older cats, the previous kitten owner had been using chick crumbs and it seems to work well from the sample she gave us.

Our prefer bark chips which I use on the flower beds. They can't be bothered to go very far, so chose the nearest one to the back door!
