Cos i'm lazy.

Anyone do lumberjack / plaid shirts that you can just chuck in the wash without having to face a pile of ironing at the end of it?

I generally find it's how I wash stuff that makes the most difference, a short low rpm spin (or no spin if the shirt is quick drying/doesn't hold much water) and take it out and stick it on a clothes hanger straight away. IME stuff that's sold as non-iron is actually worse for obvious creasing (if you high rpm spin and/or leave it in the drum for a couple of hours before taking it out).

Shake them off when you get them out the washer.

That's the only ironing I am prepared to do.

Get a steam iron or tumble dryer with a refresh setting, or I have brushed flannel/cotton shirts that look fine without ironing, IMO.

Have you not got staff to sort this type of thing?

How frightful

I've got a couple of Alpkit woodsmoke shirts that do exactly what you want. Not cheap but nice fabric, nice cut, totally crease free and don't smell at all.

One of mine is starting to bobble a bit I I do wear it pretty much every day.

.. All of them?

If it's being worn casually then surely it doesn't need ironing by definition?

As above.
Life is too short for ironing.

I haven't owned an iron for over 20 years. For trickier shirts, as above;
- Shake the shirt out when removing from wash
- Hang up still wet but pulling out straight

For most of my shirts I don't even need to do that and go into tumble dryer and come out with no creases.

As above, after they’ve been hung on the line, hang em in the wardrobe, wear em. Even the ones crumpled in my work locker don’t get ironed. Life’s too short to worry about a few creases.

Ironing what a delightfully retro idea...

My fox ones dont get ironed or my weird fish ones.

In fact nothing gets ironed

Post lockdown my girth pulls the creases out nicely

Top tip. If the shirt is still creased, hang it in the shower/bath room while you take a shower (not in the shower with you in the room). This doesn't work if your extractor fan is really good and sized to move lots of air quickly. The room needs to be humid. Leave to dry and voila steamed shirts like ironed!

Funnily Mrs DoD mentioned yesterday that we may need to purchase an Iron and Ironing Board, but tbh its been 6 months without one or a vacuum and oddly I don't think we've really missed either.
