I remember -
When I was a kid I recall watching infomercials for castles on TV.
About 5 minutes long, between Multi-Coloured Swap Shop and Grandstand (or similar).
Short film with a commentary about a castle and its history, with battles portrayed by shaking a picture of the castle. And probably sounds of musket fire and shouting.
But I can find nothing to confirm this.
Do these films exist today on the internet?
I can't find them on YouTube or in the BFI
I remember them - on behalf of whoever was English Heritage back then. There was also one on the Cleveland Way that was often shown. Most effective as it planted the idea that going for a long walk was a desirable thing.
