Has this been rebuilt? I had a vague notion it had been but not finding anything with a search.

No - it hasn't been rebuilt.

The estate aren't currently pushing for it on account of the work they did to Ruigh Aitchechan. There's a fear that access to the bothy would be too easy which might have a detrimental affect. I need to get in touch with them about another path in any case so I'll ask what the latest is.

The river is generally fordable just south of the bothy, where the track from Tromie comes down. It's wide and braided.

Cheers, funny how memory works, I was through there last summer and had a vague memory of a new bridge!

There's a big pile of wood that has been there for several years.

Are you planning another trip soon? If so, stick to the "old" route over the Allt Garbhlach, not the "new" one the estate improved.

Was that not at the bit from the Geldie? I keep pointing out to folk that there is no need to cross the river there - as long as you don't mind the scary landslips đŸ™‚

No, it was being discussed on another forum and I knew you'd have a definitive answer!

been a long time since I was that far up Glen Feshie. Going to need to get out my maps for what you refer scot routes. I've forded - probably about as you say - wasn't too bad. Also - I think - detour over the old bridge. Both these were around 15+ years ago..
