go wild at farmers night at the club on the pier in Aberystwyth- or go for a meal in the bistro (foods OK, views are great)

climb constitution hill with a hangover the next day and eat a burger at the caf on top

Ah okay, so you're actually pretty near Cardigan then? Better forget Harlech - that's blummin' miles away.

Check out New Quay - nice places to eat and chill, but can get pretty busy. You're just north of Pembrokeshire, so plenty of cool stuff to do there.

Beaches:
Mwnt (10 mins fom cardigan). Very good chance to see dolphins
Aberporth nice sandy beach but can be very touristy
Tresaith: nice beach with pub/restaurant
Llangrannog: Nice beach, choice of a couple of pubs
A few other beaches between llangrannog and new quay but not much there in terms of facilities.
New Quay- good choice bars/pubs fish n chips etc

Beaches I remember being dead good were the one north of Cardigan near Ty Gwyn caravan park and Penbryn (nice walk down the gorge to a nice rocky beach but with a great stream to paddle in/dam etc).

+1 for the beaches, +1 for looking for dolphins (take binoculars and look for sea birds congregating on the water).

Day trips to the Preseli hills or Brechfa. St David's is a pretty and tiny city. Fishing on Teifi if that's your thing.

And, following konagirl's comment, if you're going to St Davids on a good day, check out Whitesands Beach, a couple of miles away. One of the UK's best beaches. 😀

Abereiddy is a bit special and has the Blue Pool where the Red Bull diving was held.

For decent food you could check out the Gwbert Hotel in (funnily enough) Gwbert. In Cardigan town there isn't really a lot of choice although I would recommend two Indian restaurant on Quay Street right by the river - Abdul's and about 100 yards further along, Shampan.

Cardigan is my home town so if you need any info on anything I'll be happy to help. The campsite you've chosen is a good one and you can walk to Mwnt beach in about 20 minutes along footpaths. As others have said, Mwnt is a superb beach although beware the long hard slog back up to the campsite from the beach as its uphill all the way.
