Had the van 18 months and considering heading over the water next summer. Would be the first time out of the UK with the van, but not the first driving over there. Can you STW caravanners recommend a trip for a family of four with young kids?
We did Eurodisney last year. Went Dover - Dunkirk on ferry. Towing in France was a easy. First time we had done it. Stayed at Camping Jabline, about 3 miles from Disney. Great site, next to a big lake with swimming beach. Highly recomended. Don't stress about towing in France, its easier & a lot less stressful than towing here. We went on to the coast second week, to Dieppe but wasnt very nice.
I'd love to do it again. Would love to go further south this time.
The clan, just on the ferry.

I've been all over France and love the mountains but i've no kids.
If you're looking to go to the coast during Summer it will probably be pretty busy and you may have to pre book a site, which i never like doing.
The caravanclub do a pre booking service on selected sites and do 2 comprehensive books of sites in Europe and you don't need to be a member to buy them. The toll prices are steep pulling a caravan,i've paid 45 euro just for a 2 hour stretch.
Don't discount municipals that are part of a leisure complex.I stayed at one that had an outdoor pool, bike hire and was by the side of a river for boating.
Cheers chaps. Anyone any experience of the low countries or Germany?
