I need to clean the seats in my car, they're not too bad but there are some water stains on one seat, a small oil stain and generally a bit tatty.
Anyone got any recommendations?
thanks

A foaming cleaner should help to lift out the muck. There are many different brands, all suspiciously smelling, looking and working exactly the same.

I used the Halfords own upholstery cleaner in the past and it did the job. We still use it in the house for cleaning spills off carpets 😀

Wet cleaning the seat will just make the stains worse; you need to hire a wet vac, the small handheld version. Soak the fabric well with cleaner then suck it out leaving the seat almost dry. At worst use the crevice tool on a Henry with no bag but expect the drum to fill up with bubbles - guess how I know this?

Baby wipes fix most things.

Not unless you remove the liquid it turns into when you shrub it into the seat fabric.
You need an extraction machine otherwise all you are doing is moving the dirt around.

Rug Doctor rental machines with the handheld attachment work great.
(Or ring a mobile valeted to come and do it for you)

Exactly as I wrote above.

I dropped hot coffee on the seat of my brand-new car and wiping with a damp cloth didn't remove the stain or the smell so I borrowed a hand-held wet vac. That dealt with it by sucking the dirty water out completely.

I've used the Halfords one too to remove all sorts of muck and smells left behind by a dog. Wasn't expecting much but was surprised how well it worked.
