A couple of weeks ago I had to put the car on concrete blocks, didn't go super smooth but got the job done .. then the car sat on the drive. Then Friday I had to use the car and the tyre sensor flashed on but they do this sometimes without any issue... got out and looked fine .. got home (30 mins total) and left it overnight.

Sat AM the tyre is flat... so took it off and inspected it with 35psi and some soapy water...
The only leak seems to be the seal between the rim and tyre (the rims have been kerbed a bit) but if this was a bike I'd whip off the tyre inspect and re-seat it.. as it is I left it and it has lost some pressure but it's still inflated.

I suspect I might have unseated the tyre when getting on/off the concrete blocks... but would welcome other suggestions and also how to proceed.

Pumping drive it to a tyre bay.

Get them to unseat and bead seal it

Grown up's answer - that'd do it I reckon, but I'd first try pumping it up to the max value on the sidewall and driving it for a couple of miles to see if that sorted it.

I definitely wouldn't use one of those squirty tyre foam cans.

Although in some parallel universe if I had done that on the last car it might have lasted a year without any further problem until the tyre needed replacing from normal wear.

I'd add a bit of stans through the valve and that will probably sort it.

Cheers.. but then it is a thing with car tyres? Never happened to me before (on a car) but experience from bikes made me thing this could have been the cause.

I don't trust the closest tyre place ... it's always a new tyre .. last time I was 90% certain the outside sidewall was fine (fairy and water) but not 100% ... but then after leaving it and going back it had a nail sized hole I found difficult to believe I'd missed. On the other hand if I take it to a more trusted garage if I do need a new tyre they are unlikely to have one... which normally wouldn't be an issue but with the current lockdown etc. seems more problematic

I’d add a bit of stans through the valve and that will probably sort it.

Weirdly I did that with one of the kids footballs and it worked a treat...

So pumped it up to the max and put the wheel back on. Seems to be holding or at least not leaking from where it was on the rim (marked in yellow crayon) so I'm going to check in an hour then if it needs a top up do it.. then take it for a 1/2 hour max drive and check when I get back...

I had a Golf a couple of years ago that had a leaky front driver's side tyre. Had it taken off the rim and re-seated. Problem solved.

Had air leaks from older alloys before, keep topping up and eventually get garage to sand down edges, Honda Jazz btw.

So still holding pressure this morning... seems like a temp fix until I can sort it properly
