I'm in the process of buying a new Octavia. As a consequence, I've been perusing the Briskoda forums.

There was a post earlier today from a 'person' proporting to have received a good deal on a new Octavia from a business leasing company. Busted. 8)

I do not understand how these people could be so thick. If you wanted to astroturf a company you could make it look so much more realistic.

He's produced a shed load of free advertising out of it.
It was just another garage trying to sell cars.
Now it's the garage on all them forums so they must be fantastic as they're all talking about it.

Wow, that's amazing, I wouldn't have thought there would be people out there so devoid of anything interesting in their lives that they would go onto a Skoda forum...

Yeah, fair enough 😉

I didn't mean you, anyway, I meant the people who manage to rack up thousands of posts talking about cars. Are cars really that interesting?

To some people, yes. We're all different and find different things fascinating. Good isn't it?

Just imagine, people who happen to own Skodas, looking to get help and information about their cars from owners of similar cars! What is the world coming to? 🙄

FTFY.

Cars are like accountancy - I understand that some people find them interesting, it just escapes me.

Nobody finds accountancy interesting, not even accountants.
Cars, OTOH, come in many shapes and colours, and many levels of performance and ability. That's what people find interesting.
There are people who find matchbox labels interesting; it takes all sorts to make a world.
As it happens, I own a Skoda, and needed two alloy wheels after mine got trashed by potholes. Thanks to Briskoda I found someone in North London who had a set for £80, and another member who had offered to buy them as winter wheels for his Fabia magnanimously backed off to let me have them, as my need was greater.
Of course, that's boring, because it's about cars...

Don't see the big deal really. He linked to a website. You still make your own purchasing decision.

Well thanks for going out of your way from your full and exciting life to post about how little that interests you. Not enough football threads? Brussells sprouts? Yeah, go on why not?

Well..... not really. He pretended to be a satisfied customer:

Hi all,

I have been looking for a business lease deal on an octavia for the last few months...

Managed to find an online retailer that offered an absolutely fantastic deal - service was great - advise and information on the website was second to none -

Have a look - they seem to offer all types of cars and vans

www.newvehiclesolutions.co.uk

The deal i had on the Octavia -
