I have roughly 6-8 weeks between my current car going and picking up my new one. As it's going to be December/January which is usually the worst time to be commuting by bike I could do with a hire car for the period.

Prices for standard hire are way to much - I could buy a cheap car for the cost which isn't something I want to do.

Are short term leases available?

Was in a similar position a few years back. Hertz did 28 day rentals where you saved a bit over usual rates.

Or buy a clunker/scooter/bus pass.

Edit: https://www.hertz.co.uk/p/hertz28/private

Hmm. Not that great really.

Try evogo. Not sure if they do shorter terms than 12 weeks though.
Worth a look.

mmm that's certainly a bit cheaper but sat £17 a day it's still not cheap. Might just hire one for weekends if we need it.

£190/month for a Honda Jazz at evogo on the last pricelist I got emailed.

Min 3 months. But still, only £570 all in with a bit of overlap.

Ask sprockets if they'll do you a long term demo on a haibike! 😀

Monthly that's not so bad, over 3 months it's not so good. Might be 6 weeks but could be 8.

It's ice that's the issue not my legs 🙂 I'd rather have their van 🙂
