Sorry for spamming the forum today folks.. it's my penultimate day and you don't know how bored I am..!

Anyway - I need to find a hole through which I can pass a cable from underneath the back of the Passat to inside the boot. I know there must be holes, but I've no idea where to look. Any ideas?

Most likely place (don't know the car itself) is where the fuel pump sit in the tank, there's usually a few grommets through for the replacements and for fuel sender wiring to go through, check below the back seats.

I initially clicked on this thread hoping to contribute to cable car routings but alas the project is less fun.

Is that not likely to be under the back seats?

Most likely something behind the bumper.

If it's only temporary, and it's a smallish cable, you could get away with just running it out the tailgate.

Yes, under the back seats (as I said 🙂 ), but the back seats generally join the boot to the rest of the car, meaning cables emerging from under the lower seat swabs can go back or forward?

My Passat had a grommet fitted behind the rear bumper to allow cables from the optional parking sensors to be run into the bottom of the boot.
