So my old dear wants to buy a new car (Renault Captur), not getting much discount at the main dealers, so I look on line and there are various brokers (is that the term?) offering her main dealer, factory ordered cars for discounts of around £2k. Anybody have any experience of ordering from these people, any downsides?

brokers like Drivethedeal are generally well regarded (from what I could research anyway).

Worth getting a couple of quotes from them, then trying your luck direct with the dealer?

I used drive the deal dot com. I'd use them again. Have a look on their website about possible pitfalls elsewhwhere when you check them out.

Feel free to ask more.

I know a few people who have used drive the deal, the car comes from a local Renault/VW/BM etc dealer anyway so the service you get should be no different.

Easy

Lingscars tends to come out one of the most expensive from the cars I've checked. Not very good value at all IME, and a bloody awful website 🙂
