A little earlier, I wended my merry way to the village curry house for some takeaway delights. (Lamb acharee, garlic naan and some saag bahji for me. Mrs CFH had chicken tikka, mushroom bhaji and rice. Nice free bottle of Cobra to wash it down with. In case you were wondering).

While enjoying a refreshing Cobra and waiting for my order to be ready, a car outside starting a'hootin' and a'hollerin' with an all guns blazing car alarm. A chap stood up from his table, walked towards the door, but not as far as going outside and actually looking at the car outside, blipped his blipper and the car stopped. For a minute. Then AWOOOGA....AWOOOGA....AWOOOGA all over again. Once more he stood up. Once more he blipped. Once more it stayed off for a minute.

Repeat three more times. THREE MORE EFFING TIMES! In a quiet village, in a residential area.

Of course, I hoofed him in the slats as I left.

However, what's the point any more? No one pays the blindest bit of attention to them even if it's their own car.

It'll be the kids left in the car.

He was at a table, eating in. If he'd left the kids in the car, he deserved a double hoofing.

You tutted, admit it.

No point really unless it's an insurance stipulation, no one paysw a blind bit of attention.. well maybe untrue, if my neighbours went off then I'd probably take a look, so its still a deterrent.

But in reality I'd realise on investigation it was a false alarm and then get annoyed with my neighbour.

The dog was moving around inside.

What - you didn't expect him to leave it at home did you?

I'll own up. I didn't go that far. I raised an eyebrow.

I always go and check if a car alarm goes off near by.

More important than what you had is are the Flash Junior 1&2 yet partaking of curry? Sweajnr (2.5) is partial to curry providing it is blitzed to a puree so the naan to curry ratio is sufficiently high.

sweaman2, they were/are abed, but have a broad palate! Chilli and curry is demolished as long as it's not too hot admittedly. They eat pretty much anything but am most proud that Little Miss CFH can already identify many cheeses by taste alone.

Probably, but most scrotes breaking in will still bugger off sharpish if an alarm goes off.

...he bent down on his Olympian knee, whispered awooga in her ear, and patted her on the fanny.

Doesn't it text you? Mine does, apparently, it's never needed to.
If it doesn't choose to the service call centre phones up to say that it's been moved without authorisation.
