Just clicked on my profile to find a previous forum post but the Topics Started and Replies Created section has disappeared.

Has it been moved?

[Mod] apologies and it is being investigated by Tech.

I reported it this morning and I think Tech are making changes. It cam back for a bit. you now have a forum profile separate to site profile (click on the username above the thread post to get it)

e.g.

https://singletrackmag.com/forum/users/tjagain/
https://singletrackmag.com/forum/users/the-muffin-man/

but you still can't see "topics started" on that one, nor can you link from replies to the thread in which they were created

Hmm - so you can see all your replies ever in one long list - but it doesn't show you the thread titles or actually take you too the original thread (even if you click reply).

A long list of forum replies is useless if you can go nowhere.

Thought it was just me as I was trying to reply to a thread I started a few months back and couldn't locate it through my profile.

Hopefully tech can fix it soon as it makes keeping in top of things a hell of a lot easier!

Here's the problem and how we are dealing with it.

The plugin that creates the list of forum history in your profile has decided (for reasons we are investigating) to cause a bug that prevented some users from creating new topics when posted via the overview page on the forum. This meant that new topics could only be created by entering the respective forum first and then creating the topic.

To ensure we were on the right track we disabled the plugin that creates your forum history yesterday. That confirmed that we are looking in the right place. This was our temporary fix as I pointed out yesterday.

Now we know where to look we can take another temporary step in order to bring the forum history back to all profiles. That temporary step is that we are removing the new topic box from the overview page. This will mean you will need to enter the forum you want to post in order to create a new topic. This won't affect replies. You can click on a topic in the overview and reply to it as normal.

This will enable us to bring back the forum history tab in profiles.

This is not the fix. It's is temporary while we find the bug. We know many users create topics from the overview page and this temporary fix will add another click to that process. But we think it better for you to have your forum history back while we find the ultimate fix to this issue.

To be clear this issue is a bug and it is not a deliberate change.
