Can't post some pics, is it because they are PNGs??

Having a real issue getting some pics to post, is my problem that they are png files?

Thanks.

Nope. Its a general problem since the latest changes yesterday. See the New Forum thread for updates (apparently putting them on Postimg, then linking the url works ok for the timebeing)

Aye, it broke yesterday. Might have been the change of Ad provider or the line about Crowdcube. Either way, some feedback (or at least acknowledgement) would have been nice.

Use https://postimages.org/ for the time being and just post the Direct Link text into your post.

Looks like there may be a problem on other devices but we didn't update the forum or any of the image / file software yesterday. Still looking.

I can upload to STW using the My Media link.

I get a successful upload.

I tick the box to select the image and then click Insert into Post, at which point my keyboard pops up and no image is inserted.

If I try Insert Into Post without ticking the box, I get an error message telling me that I need to tick the box.

This was all working on Monday evening, possibly Tuesday.

I've logged off, cleared site data, and I'm getting the same problem.

That's all on Android/Chrome but it's not working on Win11/Chrome either.

I don't know, but I suspect that free members being able to do so in the first place was a glitch (one which, oddly, I forgot to report...)

I did wonder if it had been switched off after it was mentioned very recently in the posting images thread.

Restricting stuff like that does not necessarily endear a web site to some people [me inc.] it just means we interact less.

I get exactly the same as scotroutes (android / chrome). It is that last insertion of the uploaded and ticked image that has stopped working.

Right. So if I go through the Media upload process, then click on the filename of the uploaded image, Open in New Tab, then copy that URL into the text box, it seems to work.

Ah. And if I just click on the filename once it's uploaded, copy it and paste it, that also worked
