My computer won't let me on the STW website because it says it's certificate has expired. Yet when I check the certificate it has months to run. The computer clock is set correctly and my phone has no problem accessing the site so what's going on?
This has happened with other random sites but not all. Computer is a MacBook Pro about 6-7 years old
Which version of the OS? Had the same on my old MacBook Air... gave up and used my phone instead for a few months (all fine with the latest OS on a new machine now).

Which is actually eight years old so quite possibly an OS problem
Happens occasionally to me. I reported it to tech. Does look like a time problem but this is the only site I've had it happen on. "Resolves" itself after a few minutes.
The "expired" warning is a bit all encompassing, it's more likely there's a delay in the network and the handshaking that goes on gets out of sync or delayed by just a second which is enough to cause problems.
