We have a bought an Epson et 2810. Downloaded Epson imprint on my Samsung and it comes up as an option to print.
iPad it says no air printers found. On the app it says ready to print .
On the same network and blue tooth on.
On the Mac printer is there as an option and even a little picture of what it wants to print.
Press print and pages and pages of goobldeygook comes out.
Anyone have any ****ing ideas?
Have Epson smart panel but that's even more rubbish.

Absolutely make sure they are on the same network. It may even be that they have to be connected to the same GHz range. <br /><br />

Does the Epson app find the printer?

Yes Apple has print preview.

Haven’t you got to install iPrint on the iPad then do the action thing in the app you want to print from to send it to iPrint.

Don’t think that printer is AirPrint compatible so you’ll need to download whichever Epsom app and deal with all that I’m afraid.

Have taken it home and managed to set it up.
It's still printing reams and reams of waffle even when trying to print the test page.

That looks like your computer is not talking the right language to the printer.

when you added the printer to your Mac did it already have the correct driver?
might be worth deleting the printer from the printer settings and adding it again.

AirPrint from iOS 🤷🏻‍♂️ I find that a bit hit and miss with my HP. Check they’re on the same network. Check that the printer is AirPrint compatible. Turn printer and iOS device off then on again. Check they’re connected to the wifi. Try again.

AirPrint does not use Bluetooth but wifi. And if your printer is not AirPrint compatible then you’ll need the Epson app as has been said.

good luck.

printers - tools of Satan.

The shop Mac and home MacBook both produced non stop pages of the stuff pictured.

It never even crossed my mind that someone would make a printer that wouldn’t work with an iPad. Normally we buy the cheapest printer we can find and all of them have connected to whatever we were running with no problem.

It’s gone back to Amazon. <br />There’s another Epson we’ve seen and it’s on the AirPrint list and works with macs above snow leopard. In theory  it should work but are some companies not happy with Apple?

All the HPs we’ve had connected easily but have major hissy fits using non hp cartridges.

All printers are ****s , even when they are working.

Many many companies are unhappy with apple. It's not a new thing.

Which is why using the (seriously good value) HP Ink monthly plans is brilliant. Aftermarket cartridges are not cheaper at all.
