Anyone here using these?
Or could give me some information/ direction?
As some of you may know, I have stage 4, metastatic prostate cancer. The cancer and its treatment (hormone therapy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy) have left me with a high levels of fatigue, joint pain and stress. I've tried various things to help relieve these symptoms without much success. I'm wondering if cannabis oils might help. I don't want to get stoned* but I would like to relax, sleep and have less joint pain.
Any experience or advice?
What to buy, and where to buy it from?
Thanks in advance.
*Well, maybe a little bit 🙂
CBD oil...I Can't advise specifically, but the stuff available OTC in shops/chemists is expensive and low concentrate.
Sorry to hear about that Stanley
I tried taking it for anxiety and stress, and tbh I didn’t see any benefit. It was fairly expensive concentrated stuff as well
My mate swears by it, however openly admits there may be a placebo affect
If you can afford it give it a go, it didn’t present any negative symptoms
All the best
Unfortunately I can't help with advice but you have reminded me that I read this article yesterday, perhaps you did too?

You could try chatting to Kate at The Tonic? https://thetonictribe.com/
Yes, she's selling the stuff, but she's also a mountain biker and a nice person. She comes across as pretty open about what will/might and won't help.
It might also be worth looking into whether there are any mushrooms that might help the symptoms? This seems to be an emerging field where studies are showing it's not all woo and pseudoscience.
Hope you find something to help.
I used cannabis jellies in Canada, they contained CBD and CBC, as well as a micro dose of THC.
CBC in particular has massive pain killing properties.
There were literally no side effects, apart from i was aware that I wasn’t fit to drive.
Not sure how you could legally get the same stuff over here though.
Mibbe speak to your GP, I believe they can prescribe medical cannabis?
Ive a CBD vape... looks like i shopped https://vapoholic.co.uk/eliquid-range/cbd-e-liquid/ previously
got it to swap out nicotine... its certainly less moreish, i rarely reach for it.
i'd say it does relax you, doesnt get you high, but couldnt really comment on sleep/joint pain effects..
if you are more interested in the THC side of cannabis, maybe think about edibles and vapes, maybe a trip to Colorado
Cannabis oil is available for prescription on the NHS for a narrow range of conditions - which includes nausea from chemo. Not sure if that is relevant to you. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/medical-cannabis/
Private prescriptions are available for a broader range of conditions

My friend who lives in the US has liver failure and has a medical marijuana prescription. For whatever this anecdotal evidence is worth, he swears by cannabis for managing nausea and appetite. To be fair, he was a pretty enthusiastic user of recreational cannabis before.
Some people swear by CBD oil that you can buy at health food shops and that does not contain THC.
Instagram has many advertisers who seem to be selling THC containing cannabis products (flower for smoking but also "edibles" like sweets) in the UK. I have no idea how payment and delivery work. Obviously that would be illegal.
Presumably, whatever means you get it by, you would have to just try it and see if it works for you.
Why not take a trip to the Dam(Amsterdam). There you'll find all the info on medicinal uses and also get to try real hash oil.
Be warned though, hash oil is strong as hell,
CBD I have seen reports and studies that say its a bit of quack medicine, and in reality it does nothing.
Most of the people with MS etc that take weed, buy it from a weed dealer, and its usually word of mouth to find someone who deals pretty much exclusively with people looking to buy for medicinal uses, as opposed to some bloke round the back of the pub where the quality is poor or eveen worse tainted with horrible chemicals like silicon spray or such.
When I gave up smoking it, it was after 20 years of pretty much constant use, at about £250/month.
It remained sticky way way beyond the time I'd have expected it to be dry and crumbly(I used to grind the full ounce, dry it(after religiously detwigging) so it made it easier to add to a spliff. But weeks down the line and even after a few hours on the radiator it remained sticky. That led me to believe it was tainted with something. and at the same time i was suffering from night sweats and vomiting.
That day I took the near ounce and dumped the lot in the dustbin.
Now, its maybe a gram at Xmas or my birthday, only coming from a very reputable source, and if they dont have any, then i dont either.
With your illness/cancer there's a very good chance you'd be accepted into the Sapphire medicinal cannabis clinic .
CBD I have seen reports and studies that say its a bit of quack medicine, and in reality it does nothing.
It doesn't seem to be supported by much evidence but there seems to be a placebo effect for some people (and a placebo effect is better than nothing), so...
I think a lot of the CBD oil on the market is just made up from bulk Chinese crystal mixed with edible oils. The cold-pressed stuff is much more expensive. Does it make a difference? I have no idea.
