I am selling my car, Ins runs out later in Feb, I was thinking I could get a new policy if nec then cancel it, does anyone know of any Insurers that do free cancellations say within 14 days (Have just noticed that mine do not)
Most do.
I think you just have to pay an admin fee, something around £35 with mine IIRC.
Tried MoreThan? I think they might... could be wrong though.
Halifax let you cancel within 14 days at no cost.
use tempcover.com. my bro uses them all the time you can insure for hours if you like
Devitt Insurance do IIRC.
Depends on the company.
If you've payed in full then minus admin/cancellation fee the pro rata could work well for you.
If you have 2 months spare I would carry on to get my NCD if appliable.
Also some have policies where you can pause or have a change of car option within 7-14 days.
If you are not buying a car within a month, pay monthly and have plenty of NCD then you could benefit and save cash.
Just make sure you next insurer doesn't ask you if you've cancelled insurance within the last 5yrs (Which is rare to ask now)
Bored of the Volov already?
