Pre pandemic me & my other half had a holiday with Neilson on one of the Greek islands, I got to ride a bike (and not feel too guilty about it) & she learnt to play tennis a bit. We also managed a bit of kayaking and paddleboarding.

I know there are places like Club La Santa but that looks a bit pro-level tbh, are there any other places in the Canaries that have some sports facilities? Looking to get away in November/December if Covid will allow.

Cheers
Stu

https://www.playitas.net/en

https://www.oasisfuerteventura.com

I have had weeks booked at both (with booking.com) over the past 2 years and had to cancel both, so can't tell you how good they actually are. The oasis is in Corralejo so you are not dependant on the hotel for everything, the playitas looks to be a bit isolated but also looks to have better sporting facilities.

I go yearly to Sands Beach in Lanzarote, it's miles cheaper than La Santa and works much better for a family holiday. It's on the beach, where there are windsurf and paddleboard sessions as well as scuba diving lessons. There is a bike hire company connected to the hotel and there is plenty of road / gravel & MTB riding. It's usually pretty windy though!

Playitas is very similar to La Santa, not been to the oasis place

A few years back went to a Robinson’s resort on Fuerteventura - Esquinzo. Lots of sports, focused on Sailing and Tennis. Nice joint, food and staff were top notch.

Club magic life, Fuerteventura, might still have bikes, archery, yoga and other stuff?
They did daily road bike rides when I went several years ago, 50 miles, guided and free. Other half did archery most days, free. I think TUI still go there?

If you're into watersports what about El Medano in Tenerife? Just book a stay in one of the hotels near the beach, there's a whole load of stuff to try, windsurfing/kitesurfing/wingfoiling/paddleboarding. Plus you can do the odd day on the mtb with Lavatrax, or hire a road bike and suffer up Teide, we're there for christmas.

Came here to say what retrorick said. Used to love it there. Very good (largely Hungarian) sports staff. Fully inclusive-tastic.

I stayed at the Oasis about 10 years ago. Decent pools but other than that it terms of sports they had a couple of rusty bikes and that was it. Fuertaventura rather quiet but Corralejo is nice enough.

Not stayed at Club La Santa but nosed around it a couple of times. Full of fit young things, which may or may not put you off. Plenty of sports on offer.

Normally I’d recommend La Palma. Absolutely gorgeous island with not too much tourism and lots of winding mountain roads that you could ride.

However…

It’s a bit lively atm.

Plans for Winter sun have been shelved, we might look to go away around Easter instead. Incidently Neilson are now offering holidays in Fuerteventura, think it's something to do with PlayItas.
