I can't see a reason as to why not, although I suspect you'd have to remove your trousers and cough up for cash withdrawal fee's!

3% isn't it? so around £120 I guess? or are there usually other fees I'm missing (apart from interest of course!)

I think interest will be the main killer. You dont usually get any interest free period like you would do with buying items. So the interest starts the moment you take the money out.

Ive also heard that it's really bad for ones credit rating, though I dont if that youre bothered by that or if it is actaully true.

Some cards have a cash limit that is different to the overall credit limit (mine does).

+1

and the interest rate is ridiculous.

The idea is to consolidate 2 cards into one, and to take advantage of a 'balance lifetime' reduced APR offer at the same time... so need to pay one card off completely (using another card) and then transfer the full balance back across pretty much immediately... would take a few days for the bank to process, so would get a bit of interest I guess...

Don't you have to make prior arrangement if you wish to withdraw large amounts of cash? I heard it was something like £1500 supposedly to stop money laundering? but I may have been misinformed.

It is easily done and it's absolutley the worst thing you can do.

Much higher interest
Usually paid off the balance last
Fees for it too

Dont get why you'd need cash to do what you're suggesting?

Read your T&C's or give them a ring. I cant remember what mine are but its the same as using CC cheques, it will cost you a fortune!

Why can't you tranfer the balance from the 2 cards onto the new one?
