Can you recommend a book about parasites for me please?
I quite like the infotainment style of writing- eg Adam Kay, 'This is going to hurt' and Mary Roach's books e.g.'Grunt'. Is there anything out there about parasites?
Maybe ask in the other thread about insect bites. You might get some better recommendations there.
Parasite Rex by Hans Zimmer is a good read. Some great biology stories. its quite old now but I see there's a new edition.
Tropical Diseases by Robert Desowitz
Not strictly about parasites but some nasties included in there.
Many thanks for the suggestions folks, much appreciated 🙂

Plight of the living dead by Matt Simon; an easy read but full of great info on nasty insects.
Zombie ants, parasitic wasps, a bug that gets under the exoskeleton of other bugs and wears them like a suit of armour. All sorts of grizzly ‘ain’t nature beautiful’ kind of stuff.
Just me that thought Filth by Irving Welch might work?
I'll get my corpse on the way out.
Just read the Intro to Parasite Rex by Carl Zimmer..... OMG. Gripping.
Another book to read :).
