Belly rub addict.
Piemonster, that shaddow looks like something you should nuke from outerspace

Strong Salvador Dali vibes there! Hahah
Working her ticket for some snacks.

Tod showing the effect of ice cold water on his Moorland ramble.
After a day out at the beach yesterday, we have been lazy in bed most of this morning.

Someone didn't get a crisp and is now sulking.

While her partner in grime found the perfect repose to go to sleep!

I thought he was smuggling tree baubles

Looking after me during a flat spot yesterday.
Mine went for his yearly MOT/vaccination/worming today, got told off by the vet as he needs to lose about half a kilo...which doesn't sound a lot, but his breed should only be about 7-7.5 kilos, so half a kilo is quite a lot for a small dog.
He's not going to like being put on a diet, the diet being me not giving him as many intra-meal treats.

My dog is literally my best friend, he's a little shit bag sometimes, but in an endeering way.
We said goodbye to our dog this morning after just over 16 years (not bad for a spaniel). The vets were brilliant, and it was very calm and pain free, but one of the hardest things I've ever had to witness. We might have gone a few more days, or a week, or a month, but everything about him was failing.

Sorry to hear that – we have a King Charles / Cocker cross and she has just turned nine. Yesterday she went to the vet again for x-rays and ultrasound scans as she has been unusually quiet for the last few months. Turns out it is arthritis in her spine and her heart is enlarged (we knew she had a murmur, but it has got a bit worse). She's now on four different sets of medication. Fortunately we have seen an improvement, but that's only because all the pain meds are masking the discomfort 🙁
Grace finally got spayed today after 2 failed attempts.
She is a bit tired still but already tried to catch a blackbird in the garden so think she will recover fast.

@littlerob I'm so sorry to hear that - it's a year (and 2 days) since we lost Barkley at 14, and I could still burst into tears about it even now, unfortunately you can expect the dog-shaped hole to last some while yet. By the same token, 16 is a damn good age for a spaniel, so well done on giving him all the love & life for that long.
Inthe meantime, Huey's made a new woolly friend this morning
They were way to busy tearing around in the snow for a good picture.
Happy now in front of the fire
Recovering well and have given me an excuse to do very little today. As she needs some days rest.

@temudgin Cool dog! what breed is (he/she)?
This thread makes me want to get another dog. Almost 2 years and I still miss the daft sod.
Not much snow left at the bottom of the southdowns - but still frosty

That middle pic from susepic reminded that dogs don't look their best when shaking.
Bonnie - not shaking

Bonnie shaking:

This scamp has noticeably put on weight over Christmas, not helped by snacks of toast and chicken etc between meals the last few days, so he's been on an unaccustomed 5 mile stroll this morning. Hopefully he'll sleep tonight and not insist on going out at 2am to check that the back garden is still where he left it. Little sod.

Not interested in English Heritage rules, Stacey likes to do her own thing.

I'm absolutely smitten with Roo already!
Anyone else get excited when they see a tuft on doggo thats going to come away in a single pluck?
Look at that face.
Pure concentrated slipper eating malice.

Evil personified.
@joshvegas & @sprootlet Could I interest you in Girl with the Dogs on YouTube if you don't know about her all ready? Vicarious tuft pulling viewing.
They always look more graceful swimming than shaking…..

Rimini and Miller. Stadler and Waldorf springs to mind

Border terriers were already one of my favourite breeds. Thanks to Oscar, I’m now an even bigger fan.
Cheers. They’re incredible little dogs, extremely loyal, playful, mischievous and love people. Oscar is a very handsome chap though, he gets a lot of praise from breeders and BT owners.
Rossi, the Unkle to our other two up there ^ At seven he’s the sensible one (ish)

A sensible start to address some of the dog ownership issues some have?

Signing a bit of paper to say you've thought about it? Really?

You are good to go.
Lola is pretty insistent she isn't going out today.
Quality dog there. I wish Lola would be more affectionate. She will lie cloase and like to be in the room with you but none of this cuddle pup routine.
The "not allowed on the sofa" theory doesn't last very long does it!
Duggie is getting the hang of things well there! Big, warm dog cuddles are the best in wintertime.
A near perfect prawn.
Belly full of turkey and tinsel!

Catch!
