as above,i want to be able to play the same music in 2 rooms at the same time,any experiences please

yep, you can use as many as you like on the same network.

From an iPad, iPhone you can only stream to a single device at a time. From a Mac, you can stream to multiple devices simultaneously (and it does a REALLY good job of making sure the music is in-sync across devices)

Ah well that my issue then im using an ipad and iphone 🙂 ones int he garage and ones in the living room so unlikely i need em to play same music !

If you have iTunes, you can use your iPad and the Remote Control app to direct music from it to multiple devices from the iPad.

But, as you say, there may be know point anyway.

You can also use a neat app called Airfoil which lets you capture the audio stream from any Program and send it to an Airport, removing the need to use iTunes.

I have a Mac Mini playing music over 2 airport expresses and my android phone (via airbubble) all controlled from the phone using TunesRemote+

Works very well, really pleased with the setup.

I've also set my airport express up to share my printer wirelessly too.
