Looking for some GPS/GPX help.
I have a list of POI's with their corresponding grid positions.
I have found a website that lets me convert the positions to lat and long, create a GPX file and also create a KML file so I can show them in Google Earth.
Is it possible to create a KML file which will tag each waypoint with a 1 or 2 word description, which then show in Goggle Earth or on a Garmin?
I use this site to convert between formats etc. It might prove useful:
http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/gpsbabel/
It's an online version of the GPS Babel software which is also available for download: http://www.gpsbabel.org/
Thanks.
Sorted now.
Converted the grid positions to Lat/Long here gridreferencefinder.com
Then saved it as a CSV with the name tags and then converted it with GPS Babel to GPX.
Waypoints now shown with tags.
