Bunnyhop, couldn't tell you what the taste was like, no-one would volunteer to have a taste. 😛 . I was only just pulled out of the way in time or it would have been the flattened version 😳

Tazzy has it i think.
Most likely to be a yellow antler(staghorn) fungus.
Not too edible as can give you the squits.

The chicken flavoured one is the aptly named 'chicken of the woods'
They will be found on the trunks of a damaged oak trees, they grow as brackets. I don't think they taste too chicken like, but are a good fleshy addition that i like in an omelette.

Thanks very much sharki, it's a good job nobody was feeling brave enough to eat Eric 😆 then as they could have been looking for a toilet not long after 😳
