Are there any decent beaches in the vicinity?

Just kidding!

How close to Weston do you need to be? Do you have kids? How old are they? What sort of entertainment are you looking for?

Further from Weston the better. Uphill is quieter, as is Brean Down. I think there are a few campsites down near Brean Down. But both are still prone to chavs and morons razzing about in 4WDs and jetskis.

Thanks for the info. I have family recently moved to cheddar. So was planning to combine beach and family in somerset. We have a 5 old and a 2 year old.

Any suggestions?

Batcoombe Vale near Bruton, not near Weston but only about 20mins from Cheddar & one of the best campsites ever. Totally gorgeous, but small & friendly. Loads of places for the kids to play & explore. Much nicer than Weston, kids won't miss beach.
