Looking for a campsite during August (so will be busy!) either in the New Forest or Dorset (somewhere near Bournmouth).
We have stayed in Hollands Wood before so that is the front runner but want to make sure we are not missing out on something better. We considered Sandy Balls but the reviews did not paint a good picture and the only thing we are looking for from Sandy Balls was access to the swimming pool (which we could prob find elsewhere!).
We will be taking a tent and don't require electrical access. The only real requirements are for toilet and shower block.

Hollands Wood is a nice enough camp site - A bit close to the road for me when it's busy and there is a lot of traffic.
If you are being generous with your search area you could consider Tom's Field campsite near Swanage if you wanted to be nearer water. It will be v busy in August though and they only take a small amount of pre bookings (and then only in the school holidays for part of the site for a minimum of 5 nights). Facilities not as good as HW (understatement) but the location offers something a bit different.
Red Shoot if you just want to be in a pleasant place with a clean toilet block and hot shower.
We are looking for 7 nights so length of stay isn't an issue. Red Shoot looks good but I will have to give them a ring as our tent is over there minimum tent dimensions (or is with the front extension).
Don't think Tom Field will be suitable for us but thanks for the recommendation.
