Can anyone recommend a camp site around the 7Stanes (Mabie, Delbeattie ect) kind of area that isn't too expensive and ideally has a pub within walking distance for when its inevitably pisses it down and we need somewhere to drown our sorrows?

Thanks!

Kippford, sandy hills or seaward are all ok.

Kippford holiday park is good, walking distance to pubs in kippford and a 5 min cycle to get into the Dalbeattie 7stanes trail at the Barnbarroch loop.

I just stayed at a place called Gorsebank. It's right next to Dalbeattie 7 Stanes.

They have wigwams plus showers/toilet block etc.

Been there a couple of times and always been good.

I think that's where we stayed last time. They have their own private gate into the back of Dalbeattie, if it's the same place I'm thinking of. Would recommend also, if so.

Gorsebank is great, but no pub in walking distance.
