I've agreed to take my 6year old camping tomorrow night to a shelter type thing in the woods, other than mats, sleeping bags, food, water and a torch, what do I need to remember?
Matches, firelighters, mozzy repelent, wine?

I went camping with my two boys the other week.

If it's one night you don't really need anything other than a tent (and sleeping bags, ground mats) and some food.

It was brilliant!

If he likes it, come down to the Big Bike Bash where he can camp, do bike stuff, do 6 year old stuff while you have bike stuff, beer festival and live music.

Bog roll is an excellent suggestion!

Don't live in the UK otherwise we'd be at the BBB :-/

There are these big flying things called airplanes.

Where are you coming in from? There is a furthest visitor prize with winners such as 'Back Flip Bikini Babe'* and 'French Juan'

* I don't know where she came from but she definitely deserved a prize

If it really is out in the woods, some sort of digging implement would be a useful addition to the bog roll 😉

Party balloons with lights inside are good. They glow gently all night. Enough to reassure but not enough to disturb sleep.

Really out in the woods and also really in Denmark

No holiday left for uk visits until we need a medical check for the nipper in November

Can't be bothered to carry a spade, I'll take a plastic bag 😕
