Hi All

Heading to trail addiction early september and looking for a decent campsite for stopover about 3 hours into France on the Friday. Looked at chalons en champagne but not convinced. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Camping Municipal in Epernay is ok. Its 5 minutes by bike into the Centre along the river and cycle paths.

is it just to break up the journey? Used F1's etc instead as they are cheap and saves the hassle of tent etc.

Doing a similar thing on the way back from the Mega we slept on a picnic bench at an aire de repos outside Reims.

We've stopped at Troyes a few times before, using a Campenile.
There's a lovely cafe on the corner of Pl. Marechal Foch, in the centre of town which is perfect for breakfast coffee and crossiant.
Followed by an wander round the corner the the patisserie, that supplies the cafe.
