Off camping tomorrow for a couple of nights any recommendations for south Peak District area (below Bakewell)
Would like quiet and a view, and facilities.
Thanks

Great campsite just outside Hope village, brilliant couple of pubs.

no bikes I'm afraid 🙁
I'm even signed up for a 100mile audax on Saturday that I'm no longer doing. Family camping is a priority now after the amount of money its cost to buy the gear!!

I'd 2nd Birchwood Farm.

If can slum it a bit and are just after a field and loo then Hankin Farm has some great views...

...it really is very, very, very basic though - but very cheap too!

Barn Farm at Birchover always seems popular - I've not camped there but have done walks that go through their on many occassions and its looks clean and tidy. Seems to have a few sloping pitches though...

And to twinw4ll - Hope isn't south of Bakewell! 😉

In typical singletrack fashion. I've booked none of those. I've booked Upper Thurst Farm. Thanks I'll let you know how it goes.
