Any recommendations?
I was at the Hawkshead YHA last week and they seemed to have a good set up. Pretty close to the forest and pubs within a 10 main walk.
Cheers looking for tent pitches but just looked at hawkeshead campsite looks pretty good.
I've camped at Wray castle before. Its a nice setting right on the edge of Windermere and pretty close to Grizedale.

Lovely location and cheap but facilities are basic.
We stayed [url= http://www.hawksheadhall-campsite.co.uk/?Hawkshead_Hall_Camp_Site ]HERE [/url]for a week last summer in the T25. Great site, excellent showers and a permissive path into Hawkshead village for the pub that keeps you off the narrow lane.
Easy access onto the Claife Heights trails too.
