I've inherited a big old camping gaz stove that was my grandparents, and it came with a completely full 907 cylinder, and I'm wondering what to do with it. All my camping stuff is Coleman screw-on, and all my diy stuff is MAP... But I do get fed up sometimes of replacing little cans.
So, I was looking for a weedburner/blowtorch option, and I can't find anything marketed as such for the refillable camping gaz cans. I'm pretty sure it should be doable and probably even simple, but I don't know anything. Or I've seen refilling things that are used to refill little cans from big ones, but I'm not sure how good an idea that is either...
Any good ideas? Or should I just flog it/donate it?
907 are low pressure compared to the little screw on cylinders you're used to
I'd sell it as demand is still high and supply is low
Or phone these guys as they deal with all things gas

Propane might be better for a weed burner
I’d sell it as demand is still high and supply is low
+1
Couldn't get certain bottles for love nor money last year.
Home made tubeless inflator for the win.
As an FYI - the rrp of a new 907 cylinder is £50 plus the gas at about £34. There's no shortage of Camping Gaz cylinders - Calor on the other hand......

It varies a lot by region. A lot of people bought Campingaz stoves and cylinders in 2020 and 2021 for UK camping holidays. They didn't use all the gas in the cylinder so they now have 90x cylinders in their garage. Normally spent cylinders would be back in circulation pretty quickly but there are lots that have disappeared in this way.

Well, here on the South Coast anyway! They are the only gas delivery we get complete at the moment.
OK cool, thanks folks!
