I need a new camping chair 'cos my old one is knackered.
I've got sciatica so sitting with my hips below my knees for a while makes it flare up. I've tried a few in local shops but having 34" inside leg a lot of them are quite low.
Anyone got any recommendations for a decent quality robust chair where the seat is high(ish) and can take 15st of lard?
cheers

Get to a caravan shop. They generally have tons of really good outdoor furniture. I got some from Newport Caravans.

I have an Outwell Goya and its a very good quality strong camping chair.

I'm not long legged but I am quite heavy, and having big thighs normal camping chairs always dig in the sides of my legs as the chair leg joint is always in that same position.

The Outwell chair doesn't dig in and is much comfier. Only downside is it doesn't have a beer holder in the arm!!

I've got this. Same basic design as the typical camp chairs but much wider on the seat and back, somewhat higher due to less of a slumping seat, and far sturdier. Got them for £35 too. Not sure if it'd meet your requirements for hips though.

Twice the size when folded mind but that's the tradeoff.
