You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Looks like I might have to drive all the way to Fontainebleau myself on Friday, but thinking of maybe trying to get a few hours drive done Thursday night then find a campsite, aire or something perhaps near Oxford, or even M25 somewhere.
Don't want to drive too far off the main drag, and obviously not fussed about loveliness beyond a base level.
Anyone got any recommendations for easy to reach campsites?
Cheers

I saw something on the news about a big campsite right on the M20 just outside of Dover.
This may help

I did have a link to a Google map of pubs that allowed overnight stops, will try to dig that out

True dat.😆 But I think that's only for big rigs.
I'll check out those other suggestions, many thanks

White Mark Farm campsite it's about a 10 minute (3/4 mile) drive from Junc 6 of the M40. Waltington (lovely Chilterns village) is a 1/2 mile stroll. You're also on the Chiltern Way which will lead you into some glorious Woody Chiltern singletrack.
Canterbury motorhome Aire is decent. Maybe a bit further south than you wanted though?
Cheers all.
Kid2 observed Covid test has just come negative, so we may be back to plan A again 😁
