I’ve got a Cambridge Audio Air 200 (v2) wireless speaker that I’ve had a for a few years. Over the last few months it’s developed a problem on start up - basically it takes an age for the sound to appear. The lights indicate ‘ready’ after about 10 seconds (as it did from new) but there is no sound for at least 5-10 minutes at which point there is a loud bass/chirp noise from the speaker: a bit like a power spike or something. The unit then operates fine with all sound as normal until it’s switched into standby, and then we start again.
So hive-mind… I am wondering what the issue is likely to be (gut feel is power supply…) Secondly are there are any independent electronic repair places that anybody can recommend? Lastly, Cambridge audio website indicates that Richer Sounds are the local dealers to deal with repairs out of warranty. Pretty sure I didn’t buy from them though… Any experience of doing this?
TIA.
Pretty sure I didn’t buy from them though…
I didn't think anyone else sold Cambridge Audio? It's owned by Richer.
I’ve bought other CA stuff from John Lewis, Amazon etc. not sure about other hi-fi shops though.
I've seen it on Amazon but it's still being sold by Richer Sounds/CA.
