I have used Calor gas for years to heat my shedio (studioshed). Today I found FLogas and its cheaper by £14 though 2kg lighter and you don't have to buy/rent the bottle.
All thoughts welcome
Think you do need to buy a bottle, I managed to sell a bottle I had found for just as much as I can sell a calor. It is cheaper though and pretty easy to get, gas and regulator just the same, I'd use flogas for home use definitely.
I had to buy mine. I use the plastic ones - can see how much gas you have left.
I was in Homebase today and they seem not to charge for the bottle, it was just a flat price. They were out of stock. I got Calorgas in B&Q for £49.99 opposed to the local camping store which was £53. Morrisons alst year was £50 plus.
If it’s long term use and you can use lpg and have a local lpg garage have a look at safefill gas bottles.
But before buying I’d be checking that your local garage will let you fill it up at their pump.

I thought that Flogas cylinder weights were the same as Calor. What weights are you looking at?
You're not comaparing 13kg propane with 15kg butane, are you? (Same physical cylinder size.)
If you have the type of heater with the cylinder inside, it must be butane - propane is only allowed if the cylinders are outside.
(There are also special cylinders for patio heaters that need a different regulator - tend to be sold by B&Q, etc.)
We have both Calor and Flogas bottles for our heater (rarely used in current house). Why? Because one shop in town sells Flogas and one Calor and we were given the calor bottle. Both the same size and fitting, 7kg butane.
I think patio gas has a different regulator but is still butane, as is camping gaz.
Propane needs a different regulator and is slightly different bottle sizes.
Both Butane tillydog, sorry

I am off to dig out the sheddio, or scrape off the skylights so I can get some light in, a minor design fault in snow!

Don't appologise! I wasn't trying to catch you out, just checking - we've used Flogas for years for propane for our cooker - they're consistenly significantly cheaper than Calor. If there's a stockist in your area, then go for it.... Sorry if it came over badly.
I now know that the Flogas butane cylinders are 13Kg 🙂
